Micromax
has silently launched Canvas Knight Cameo A290, a budget version of its
octa-core smartphone, Canvas Knight. While the company has not listed
the price of the phone, it is available for purchase on e-commerce
marketplace SnapDeal.
Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo sports a 4.7-inch IPS HD display (720x1280p). Powered by a 1.4GHz MediaTek MT6592M octa-core processor and 1GB RAM, the phone comes with 8GB internal storage expandable via microSD card slot (up to 32GB).
It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and features Quick Look that offers news and weather feeds on the home screen.
Canvas Knight Cameo features an 8MP rear camera (supports 1080p video recording) and a 5MP front-facing camera. It has a 2,000mAh battery and the company claims a talk time of 7 hours and standby time of 180 hours.
In terms of connectivity, the phone supports Bluetooth 4.0 , Wi-Fi, USB, 3G and GPS.
The phone comes pre-loaded with apps such as Cube 26, Amazon,BookmyShow, clean master, games club, Getit, Hike, Opera mini, Savan, Spuul, Swift key, Thrill, Truecaller, Yatra, and Zapper in addition to some games.
